On October 1st, Fabcom Structural proudly marked a moment that carried double meaning. The day stood for both the Nigeria Independence Day 2025 celebration and the China National Day celebration in Nigeria. For us, the staff, rather than staying home, we decided to use this chance to reflect and have fun with every department.
Fabcom Staff Celebration in Abuja
At our Abuja factory, the Fabcom Structural staff celebration brought colleagues together in a spirit of unity. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and pride. What stood out most was the rare bond between Nigeria and China. Both nations celebrate their independence and national day on October 1st, a reminder of strength and resilience across borders.
For Fabcom Structural, the event was also a moment to reaffirm our commitment to people. It strengthened trust, deepened relationships, and brought different departments together. The Nigeria and China cultural unity we witnessed is the same foundation that guides how we serve homeowners, builders, and partners every day.
Nigeria Independence Day 2025 Celebration Meets China National Day
The highlight of the day was the activities that encouraged fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. Staff participated in:
- Treasure Hunt
- Flip the Bottle & Pop the Balloon
- Fill in the Basket with 20 bottle of sand
More than 65 employees joined in, with 12 winners receiving practical prizes such as handwash, electric kettles, detergent, liquid dish washer and staple food items. Yet the real prize was the shared joy and unity that crossed cultural lines.
Meals reflected inclusivity as well. Over 166 packs of Nigerian jollof rice with chicken were served alongside small chops like samosas, spring rolls, puff-puff, and meat pies. Officers of the Nigerian Police Force, who were present, also shared in the food and drinks, reinforcing Fabcom Structural goodwill with the wider community.
