We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Maintenance Technician to support our roofing production operations. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency, safety, and reliability of machinery used in the manufacturing of roofing materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of both mechanical and basic electrical systems within our factory.

This position is ideal for a hands-on technician with experience in industrial or building materials manufacturing, who understands the importance of equipment reliability in large-scale roofing production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Inspection and Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct daily inspections and routine preventive maintenance on production equipment used in roofing manufacturing.
• Ensure all machines operate efficiently to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Identify early signs of mechanical or electrical wear and implement corrective measures before breakdowns occur.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records in line with company procedures.

2. Machinery Repair and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair faults on roofing production equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns during production shifts.
• Replace defective components and carry out necessary adjustments to restore optimal machine performance.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term solutions.

3. Roofing Production Equipment Maintenance

Maintain and service equipment commonly used in roofing and building materials manufacturing, including:

• Mixers for coating and material preparation
• Conveyors and material handling systems
• Crushers and raw material processing machines
• Forming and profiling machines
• Cutting machines
• Drying lines and curing systems

This role requires familiarity with heavy-duty industrial equipment typically found in roofing or construction materials factories.

4. Electrical and Control System Support

• Assist with basic electrical maintenance, including motors, control panels, PLC systems, and inverters.
• Perform basic fault detection on electrical components and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Work closely with engineers and senior technicians during electrical repairs or system upgrades.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with factory safety standards and operational guidelines.

5. Safety, Quality, and Compliance

• Strictly follow Fabcom Structural’s safety policies, factory rules, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure all maintenance activities support product quality and operational efficiency.
• Identify potential safety hazards related to equipment and report them immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• Male candidate, aged 22–45 years, in good physical health.
• Proven experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Ability to carry out basic troubleshooting and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and respond to urgent maintenance needs.

Technical Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, and inverters.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance schedules, and basic diagrams.
• Practical experience using standard maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.

Industry Experience

• Prior experience in a roofing factory, building materials plant, or construction materials manufacturing environment is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with continuous production lines and heavy machinery is highly desirable.
• Experience maintaining forming, cutting, or drying equipment used in roofing production is a plus.
